My projector is a Sharp, Im pretty sure its one of the newest ones that just came out, but its starting to get little white spots on the screen. Whenever I project something theres little scattered white pixels, it started out with one, now i have like 5. And I just recently saw how it started, while watching a movie a new white dot started flickering and now its there permanently like all the others.

i think its like sharp pg-27x or something around that

If it's new and under warranty take it back. The white dots are stuck pixels. That happens sometimes in DLP and even in LCDs from time to time. Usually it's only one so if you have 5 that's a bad sign. You can sometimes unstick the pixels by running a special program on your computer that flashes white and black on each pixel a lot. You should also make sure the filter is clean and that no dust is getting on the DLP chip.

It's standard procedure to replace the bulb of a projector every year usually, this costs around £100, this could be dust but that is easier to remove than dead pixels however sometimes it can get lodged really far in, yes projectors suck at times

I have a mitsubish sd221u projector and everything I read says stuck pixels. I don't buy that, because with the machine off I can see the dots on the lens. If it's pixels shouldn't the machine be on? If not please explain.
