Hi .Some of the older movies are spectacular to watch Which most young people don't consider.for example

GRAND PRIX .Spectacular racing car movie about Formula One. Filmed in super Panavision 70. (1966.)Great shots and sounds of European Grand Prix.

2001 : A Space Odyssey. Stanley Kubrick's Masterpiece of Space and beyond.Filmed in Super Panavision with breathtaking visuals interwoven with the music of Strauss this film should not be missed.(1968)

Tommy. A Movie based on the rock opera"Tommy"by The Who.A psychodelic blend of vivid images and songs by The Who.Your senses will never be the same again after seeing this movie.(1975)

Poltergeist Steven Spielberg's spectacular movie about a house possesed .This is a thrill-a-second, horror, suspenseful, scary, witty and imaginative movie whose nerve-jangling effects include floating phantasms and the fiercest monster ever to pop out of a closet. A must to see.(1982)

Speed. .An action packed movie that will have you on the end of your seat as a speeding bus load of passengers go for a terrifying ride with a bomb on board that is set to explode if the bus slows down to 50 miles per hour.Great photography and music complement the action (1994)

Try some of the newer chinese films such as 'Hero' with Jet Li or 'The House of Flying Daggers' The colours and sounds from these are a very good test of your big screen. However they are subtitled and this sometimes puts people off watching them. ( Try 'Kung fu Hustle' or 'Warrior King' also if you like that sort of film )

The Crow

i saw it at the cinema, and it was amazing when Brandon lee ran over the roof tops of the city.... but it gets totally lost on a small screen. should be really good on a big TV though.

I have a 106" (diagonal) projection screen and I've watched Top Gun on it..It really is phenomenal. Discovery channel is very cool to. If you are trying to show off you're hd, watch planet earth.

Probably ones with big explosions.

HD (High Definition) films would probably be good and crappy pirate copies wouldn't.
