I am after a new surround sound system, I always find the systems come with really poor speakers and sound muddy. are there any surround sound packages that sound accurate like monitor speakers? I have a set of HS80m for my recording studio and they sound amazing would love to use them for my TV, but looking for something with 5.1 and sub that sounds as flat and clear..

No there are no "systems" like that. If you are talking about systems coming with speakers then you are talking about HTiB systems and no you're not going to find anything any good. That's the absolute worst way to put together an audio or home theatre system.

To do it right you have to buy individual components. Ideally you buy a preamp/processor plus external amplifiers but the far more popular option in the mass market is to buy an AVR. (Audio Video Receiver). If you're going to do that you should at least get something like NAD or Anthem. These are going to be considerably better than the typical brands. Buy speakers from a company specializing in speakers. Example... http://www.usheraudiousa.com/products/loudspeakers/dancer-series/Be-718-DMD

Buy a subwoofer from a company specializing in subwoofers. Example... http://www.hometheater.com/content/hsu-vtf-15h-subwoofer

You can spend less than the above and still be better than any HTiB or you can spend a lot more and be much better still. There isn't much in the way of limits on how much you can spend. You can also get far better quality than your HS80's. Find a local independent High End Audio/Video store and audition some real equipment and keep away from the Krackerjack Box toy's. You're never going to find the sound quality your're looking for in those.

like numerous different execs of their solutions, stay a manner from Bose, confident i try this for a residing too. i'm no longer likely to specify a brad cuz i don't be attentive to your funds. So without a funds my advice is to spend an identical quantity on audio gadget which you spent on your DVD, CD, and Receiver blended. So in case you have a $2 hundred DVD + $a hundred CD + $seven-hundred receiver then spend $one thousand on the audio gadget or extra in case you have the money. audio gadget make the biggest distinction! additionally for song and action pictures, in the adventure that your funds helps, get some thing with larger front audio gadget which could signify bass. Subs are high quality if this is the gadget you could arise with the money for, in spite of the actuality that bass is often non-directional, even i will tell the place a 30Hz tone is coming from so frontal bass is extra satisfying. And by using all potential in case you could arise with the money for larger front and a sub then do the two. Listening tip, people tend to purchase overly vivid or bass sounding audio gadget (Bose) because of the fact area by using area to a "soft" pair they supply the effect of being to sound extra helpful. this is till ultimately you get fatigued from listening to them. So think of once you're listening "wow that treble is crisp and loud, sounds sturdy"...... think of roughly it, is it over the coolest, is that going to computer virus me whilst i'm staring at a action picture? wish this helps
