uhm we want to play the movie in our dvd player but i'm just wondering.. can avi files play on dvd players? and if you burn the idx(subtitle) file with it< will the idx file be visible?

It all depends on the DVD player, most play VCDS(regular cd) which are Mpeg2 files. and DVDS are .VOB

No and no. You will need to convert the AVI file into standard DVD video.



I use a freeware program called Avi2dvd. I believe it can also take the idx file and create the subtitles for the video at the same time.
