They seem almost identical to me, so I don't know which one to get. It says that the DAV-HDX275 is offering an option to add a pair of rear wireless speakers and an S-AIR transmitter with S-AIR Air Stations, the DAV-HDX277WC model includes one S-AIR Air Station receiver/speaker with an option to add a rear wireless speakers, and the DAV-HDX279W model includes the rear wireless speakers with an option to add S-AIR Air Station receiver/speakers for multi-room audio. The DAV-HDX275 is $300 while the other two are $400. What do you recommend?

None. Sony is really bad at home theater systems. The sound sucks. I suggest a Panasonic. I could suggest many brands, but they are too expensive.

For a lap top or computer you need a 5.1 sound card installed in the computer to get 5.1 surround; if you use a Home Theater you may only get stereo as you will only be outputting a stereo signal some speaker systems have a built-in decoder that will give a pseudo surround experience but some do not so if you feed it a stereo signal that is all you get out at the other end....

Save your $400.00 and forget about the Sony. Sony can make decent cheap AV receivers but the speakers sucks.

Add a few dollars and get yourself an ONKYO and excellent budget speakers from Wharfedale, Mordaunt Short, Kef, etc.

None of the above. Sony is well known for an excellent TV but is not known for quality sound. I would suggest you get a Sony TV if you like the picture and another brand of HTIB for your sound. You will be much happier.
