i wanted to but a pair of cerwin Vega VE-15 but there is another model XLS-15.i want them as my main speakers?

in some of the websites i saw VE-15 was mentioned mainly use as subwoofers and the XLs-15 can be use as your Main / Stereo speakers.i have an amplifier and i want to change my speaker.now i want to know which model is meet my needs.does the VE-15 works as main / stereo speakers and has the clear and crystal sound like xls-15? can i use VE-15 as my main speakers without any other speakers

Either set will work just fine as your main front speakers. I love Cerwin Vegas; great speakers. The VE-15s have a dome tweeter where as the XLS-15s have a horn tweeter. The horn tweeter will fill a room better with sound but the dome tweeter will give you a great sweet spot if you set them up right. Other than that they are pretty comparable speakers.



The VE-15 actually have a better bass response at 26hz compared to the XLS-15 at 33hz.

If you use the 15" for the left and right and also use a subwoofer on the sub woofer pre out of a receiver there will be no bass going to the left or right channel. Cerwin Vega is not noted for quality sound in the audio world. You need to go with name brand like JBL, Definitive Technology, Energy, Infinity, Capisch and Polk Audio to name a few. Hope this will help you out.

i beg to differ, vega's kick ***, when i was a roadie, we used 5 on either side, powered by a qsc

mx-3000. let me tell you, you couldn't even stand in front of them at 90 db.
