I have a Bose Lifestyle 50 system. The cool thing about these systems is that you can branch off of your main system and send the signal to other receivers or amps to run different rooms. I got the adapter cords to go from the Bose setup to any other brand of receiver as long as they take RCA jacks. I decided for one of these "rooms", I wanted to branch off to the outdoors since I spend quite a bit of time outside and would like to be able to hear it well at any spot on the farm. I got 4 pairs of Bose 251 outdoor speakers. I have a Technical Pro LZ-3000 power amplifier that's made to slide into a rack(not exactly a home stereo amp, but I think it could be).If it's ran using 2 channel output, it's rated at 8 ohms: 2x150W, or 4 ohms:2x225W. If it's bridged, it says 8 ohms:450W. Should I use a preamp? How could I wire all 8 speakers so that I would be getting the power distributed evenly and not damage anything? If you need to know any other details let me know, and I'll add more details

Despite what Thinkenstein said, you will need a preamp for that amp, even though it has front gain (volume) controls, that amplifier does not have a built in preamplifier.

It is not a home audio amplifier, it is a very low end PA amplifier. Technical Pro amps are even worse than Pyramid amps. If I was you I would return it or try selling it on eBay.

The problem with Technical Pro amps is they rate them by their peak power not their true power output. The sad thing is the power rating they state on their site as being the true power is even false, The fans on these amps are also very loud, they can't handle 4 ohms long term & have thermal issues.

The Technical Pro SL1200 makes a buzz without any input at all.

Technical Pro amps are consumer grade amps that are disguised to look the part of & passed off as pro grade amps. I guess you can say they are made on the outside to look Technically Pro on the outside but merely consumer grade on the inside sort of like having a sports car with all looks but no go.

Now I know a new QSC, Crown, or Lab Gruppen amplifier may be more than you want to spend, so I suggest you keep an eye out on eBay & Craig's List for a used QSC amplifier, a used Crown amplifier, or a used Lab Gruppen amplifier. It's better to have a used Toyota than a new Kia.

I recommend looking for a used QSC RMX 850 or QSC RMX 1450.

edit:

Read Thinkenstein's update.

You can easily do what you propose with that amplifier and for your purposes you will not need to get a preamp since that amplifier has volume controls. You will, however, need to get a speaker selector (see links below). You will send the speaker level output from the amp to the input on the speaker selector and you will connect the wire from the speakers to the outputs on the speaker selector. This will insure that you do not present the amplifier with too low of an impedance which would cause it to overwork. If you wish to have different volumes in different places you can install impedance matching volume controls near each pair of speakers (see one of the links below for information on this). This option would remove the necessity for the speaker selector. Installers I used to work with also commonly used impedance matching blocks rather than speaker selectors. They maintained that these had less signal loss and they are a great option if you don't need individual control over the speaker pairs. I couldn't find any on a quick search of the Internet but you could look into this. Don't worry. What you are doing is very common and can be done quite easily with the components you have. By the way, don't bridge the amp. That makes it a mono amplifier and I assume you want stereo.

Update:

Your Bose system effectively functions as a preamp. Any switching of sources can be done on it. Since you have switching and volume control you do not need a separate preamp. The amp is indeed deceptively low in quality but you can try it and see what results you get. You wont hear the fan if you are in one of the other zones. If you don't like the amps performance you can try another but since you already have this one it won't hurt to try it.

When God is first calling you the effects can be incredible. Goosebumps are often a result. Often as Christians mature they long for the feeling they had when God first answered their prayers. Why is this? Perhaps it is God's way of letting doubters know he truly exists. Do you read the Bible? If not, or you have and never understood it, try again. It is amazing how God can open your eyes, and you will begin to understand concepts that seemed foreign to you before. Know this. God exists. I have experienced him first hand so many times that I no longer have any doubts. He is not a myth, not only does he deliver peace into your life, he delivers eternal life into your future. He is not a jailer, he brings freedom to deny Satan's temptations and the death he brings.

You better contact a technician...

other source is you can split the existing channel.. using jack splitters...
