My #1 recommendation would have to be VLC Media Player. It has a lot of features that other general media players don't offer and the best thing about VLC is that it's FREE!

VLC supports most video file formats and is even available for many operating systems such as: Windows, Mac, Linux and even Unix.

In my source it shows you more features VLC offers and includes other alternatives.

You can use VLC media player or KM Player. Both can play all type media files. Vlc looks simple and always work fast. But kmp hanged sometimes. But both ar best. To download any of this, search on google with name.

VLC media player will be best because it can play most of the video formats like

ASF, AVI, FLV, Fraps, MP4, Ogg, Wav, MPEG-2 (ES, PS, TS, PVA, MP3), MPJPEG, FLAC, QuickTime, Matroska, H.263, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, MJPEG, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 2, VP5, VP6, Theora, DV, AAC, AC3, DV Audio, FLAC, MP3, Speex, Vorbis, UDP, HTTP, RTP, RTSP, MMS .

And another reason is that it is a freeware .

you can also record any part of your video or movie you want

- I recommend VLC Player. The most popular and best free one.

- K-lite codec pack for media player classic home cinema. It's like KMPlayer without the extra korean cr@p that comes with it.

- KMplayer (aka, K-Multimedia Player).
