Your computer sends out audio on a balanced 1/8 inch stereo jack. Your speakers are not meant to take this connection directly and even if they could, one problem is that the signal will not be loud enough to hear over the speakers because it comes out of the computer at a very low volume. To use those speakers you will need a receiever that will take in the computer signal, amp it (make it louder), and puch to the speakers. A reciever will cost anywhere from $100 and higher. The much simpler option is to go to best buy and buy the cheapest computer speakers they have. These speakers have the amp built in so you don't need a receiver.

well, those things are recievign POWER, not just a signal to produce sound, so your PC probably wont power them.

what i'd do is get a stereo 1/8" adapter (a headphone sized thing) that converts to 2 rca jacks (the red and white metal prong things, the same type of ends the dvd player cable will have, just without the yellow one), then plug that into the AUX input of your stereo, which will power the speakers and send the signal from the PC to them as well.

You'll have to pick up a 6 Volt Stereo connector or patch cord and connect the wires, remember the 6 volt connector usually has a common ground. The Source or Radioshack will have what you need

Simple answer:

You cannot use your RCA speakers to listen to computer sounds, music or audio.

Get PC speakers - anywhere from $15 to $200 - they come with everything you need - electrical plug, PC connection cable, etc.
