I would really appreciate the help you'de offer and the hints, I won't mind any subjective opinions just tell what's best and pros and cons, and I love action, fantasy, adventure movies which really involves too much complex sounds and cinematography, Thank you.

As AVDADDY said, it would be a great help to know something about the size of the room you will have this gear in, and your budget range to buy the gear.

In general, the best TVs are LG and Samsung.Without knowing the room size and how far your seating will be from the TV, I cannot give you an idea of what size set to buy. At a minimum, a 1080P TV would be what you'd be looking for, and if you can swing the extra cask, a 4K model might be a good pick. In either case, either a stand-alone BluRay player would be the minimum there. If you go 4K on the TV, you also should go 4K on the disc player.

When it comes to the sound system, you start with a stand-alone audio-video receiver. Entry level models are 5.1 for their sound, meaning five channels of audio plus the point one for the subwoofer. Then, you will need proper home audio speakers which the receiver will drive through it's internal amplifier.

Good makes here include Pioneer, Harman Kardon, Denon and Yamaha on the receivers, and JBL, Infinity, Polk and Klipsch on the speakers. Above all else, avoid ALL cheapie systems where the disc player is built into the main unit and avoid all products from Bose. They are grossly overpriced junk.

A proper combo of receiver and at least 5.1 speakers will start at about $500 and up.

First off you need to have a budget for what you want to spend and the size of the room you have. Also the size of the HDTV you have in the room. Your best choice would be going with a stand alone receiver from Pioneer or Onkyo, they are the top brand for quality and reliability. You also want to have a decent speaker and at less having the front left, right and center mathing. The rear speakers are not demanding in power or frequency response and mainly used for sound effects. A subwoofer to handle the low bass. It would be good it they are all from the same manufacturer. Look for the following brand of speakers: Definitive Technology, Energy, JBL, Infinity, Klipsch and Polk Audio to name a few. For a Blu ray disc player I would recommend an OPPO brand, it is the very best in the price of $500 and below and it can handle the 4K. You might want to go online to Sound and Vision (formally Home Theater Magazine) and read the reviews on all the product for your home theater. I have use them for over 35 years as a guide. Hope this will help you out.

Receiver NAD. You get true power output to all channels at all ohm ratings. What do you want to spend? Do alot of research. Get a stereo magazine and start reading. Thats what I did. I use sound and vision mag. web sight forum. Very good people there with vast knowledge of home theater equipment. Remember when purchasing good equipment test run first. Have a good salesman who helps you with there knowledge. Some dont have a clue. Check on reviews on the products you want to know about.

Your best chance of actually getting a good system is to go and discover your local independent high end audio video store. These high end stores carry the best brands of speakers and equipment, plus the people that work at these stores typically have many years experience in designing, installing and calibrating high quality systems. Granted most of these stores carry some of the very best, hense very expensive speakers and equipment but most also carry some exceptional budget gear as well. So they can pretty much hit most peoples budget.

STAY AWAY FROM THE CHAIN STORES ! not only is 98% of what they carry in brands low end and even poor quality, the salesmen at these stores have no clue on designing a decent system.

Now don't be surprised if you don't recognize most if not all the brands at these high end stores, as you don't see these brands in chain stores, manufactures distribute there products through these high end stores because they have the expertise to properly demonstrate design and install these systems.

Lastly don't try to do this yourself as honestly it takes many years to really understand the complexities of designing a good system, and properly install and calibrate it as well.

Find a salesmen at one of these high end store who will simply take the time to demonstrate speakers and equipment and hold your hand through the process.

A lot depends on what size screen you have; how many seating positions; what other activities take place in that room; how large a room the type of material and your preferred listening level, but just generally speaking check out Aperion Audio; Bostom Acoustics: Denon; Marantz; Integra; Emotiva Focal Bowers and Wilkins;

Okay, for the sake of argument, I'll assume you're about twelve years old, and seeking a list of moderately-priced home theater components, which you then hope to convince your parents to buy. Challenge accepted. :-P
