Hey people I'm buying a new Home Audio Receiver but i need a couple things in specific. The new receiver must be under $400 USD and preferably around $200-300 USD. I have a PS3, Xbox 360, Optical Out PC and Blue Ray player, so i need 3-5 Optical Inputs and I prefer fiber optical inputs not coax but i can use coax with my pc. I would also like it to have SRS TruSound or to be THX certified (Neither is a have to, it would be nice though), definitely need DTS and Pro Logic II. It must be 5.1 or higher. It does not need HDMI switching, if it comes with HDMI ports oh well but i don't need them. If you find something or know of something please post the link or model #, even if it goes a bit past budget say to $200 over, post it anyways. Thanks in advance guys!!

Why do you need two Blu-ray players?

How about the Onkyo TX-SR606? It has 4 HDMI-in ports and can handle HD video processing and HD audio (TrueHD and DTS-HD) decoding in addition to all the formats you mention. Why would you not need HDMI? You do want the uncompressed HD surround sound don't you? It's not THX certified, but from what I've heard that doesn't mean a whole lot anyway. It seems strange that you would specifically mention THX but not seem to care about uncompressed audio.

I'm thinking...

Onkyo TX-SR606

Yamaha RX-V563

Sony STR-DG820

Each around $400

I would go with the Onkyo TX-SR606. I know you're not interested in HDMI switching but you should consider it especially if you want the best audio/video out of your PS3, Xbox and blu-ray player. These receivers have enough HDMI inputs to hook up all 3 and the best part is you don't have to run separate toslink/optical cables for them- HDMI will transmit both the audio & video signals.

Also newer receivers don't have that many optical outputs because HDMI is the newer/better way to go (besides optical cables cannot output the new, uncompressed audio formats DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD). And sadly there aren't a lot of THX certified receivers in this price range either.

Here's a link to some receivers so you can check em out for yourself...

The receiver I linked ya is on sale for $600 w/ free shipping. It may be over your budget somewhat, but you have a healthy list of needs & that always costs more than your average receiver. This is a good company to order from. The stand behind their products for life & they are an authorized dealer. I buy stuff from them all the time & I have always had satisfaction.
