It's not going to hurt anything to leave it on. If you shut it off it'll take about twenty minutes to warm up and sound it's best. The ampifier section will last longer if you leave it on, because you don't have the expanding and contracting, due to warming up and cooling off.

You may have a manual on/off button, but many subwoofers also turn on when they sense an input audio signal. It might be that your switch is a manual override. If not, and you do want to turn it off, rather than reach down and behind and all that, why not rig up a second switch on an extension cord and plug your woofer into that? The switch could be placed in an easier to reach position and you could turn it on and off easily when you turn on your system.

Yes you can leave it on if you like. However, its ok if you turn it off that way you will save energy of 160 Watts till next day after work. The key here is to make sure if you do turn it off then don't turn it on again right away. Turning on and off quite frequently might damage it.

If it's a newer sub, it shouldn't use much power in stand-by mode, so I'd say yes. I leave mine on.
