What is the difference between the newer Bose 3-2-1 GS Series III as compared to their previous version, the Series II. The Series III is available for $999 online (I can't find anyone selling it cheaper). And the Series II is available for a variety or prices, from $699 to $999. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two series (aside from the prices). They both have the 2 speaker system. Does the Series III offer better quality? More power? More features?

The amount of money you will waste by buying Bose (since they are overpriced, mediocre speakers aimed at people who don't know anything about what good sound is.

You can do MUCH better for the same money. For example, see the reviews/recommendations at the link for full surround systems (some are more expensive, but many are not) for best surround speaker systems and try to find Bose anywhere on the list (Hint: no knowledgeable audio expert will touch Bose).

That said, the answer to your question is the model III has HDMI input (Typical of Bose they lag behind everyone else in terms of connectivity, preferring proprietary connections as long as they can get away with it). See 2nd link.
