Hello im buying a LG 3DTV for my living room (42" lw450u) with LG cinema glasses and a 3D blu-ray player (Panasonic DMP-BDT110EB 3D Blu-ray Disc Player with Skype & VIERA Cast)

My question is that do some 3D blu-rays need different types of glasses like one blu-ray needing active and another needing Cinema glasses, so do some 3D blu-rays need active 3DTVs or can i play all 3D blu-rays on my LG Cinema 3D passive glasses

I am planning on buying

avatar blu-ray 3D (i know you cant buy it on 3d blu-ray so im getting the samsung promotional 3D blu-ray)

Drive angry blu-ray 3D

A christmas carol blu-ray 3D

Saw 7 blu-ray 3D

The glasses needed to watch a movie does not depend of the Blu-ray itself. It depends of the TV you have. So until you have the same TV all blu-ray 3D movies should work with the glasses made for that TV.

if your LG tv comes with cinema glasses, it would be safe to assume your tv is passive 3D and not active. Which means you need passive glasses, which are dirt cheap. the blu ray player does not matter what kind of 3d you need. yes, you can play all your 3D and use your passive glasses as long as you are using your passive tv. just be sure not to buy those $100 active 3D glasses, because they will not work with your tv.

It should be the same glasses for all movies like it used to be 30 years ago, this is nothing new, the 3D movies. But some companies create a special code for every film to sell you the paper glasses for $0.25 or more , pure scam. I watched "My Bloody Valentine", when the movie ended I was so HAPPY !!! Hard to keep paper glasses on top of other glasses, I scotch taped them to my face, had no choice.
