Go to a hi-fi mom and pop shop and get a sales consultant to work with you. Everyone's need is different, as is the environment the system is going into. Bring your own demo material that you are familiar with when you audition the systems. Brands and opinions will vary salesman to salesman; make sure that whomever you are working with is listening for your needs more than pitching his favorite brand. Get an in-home consult if possible and make sure the gear has a trial period (30-day return or exchange policy) so you can try it in-home before you fully commit to it.

Brands to look at:

Krell

Lexicon

Morley

Parasound

Kef Reference

Thiel

Vienna Acoustics

Martin Logan

Whaldorf

California Audio Labs DACS and CD transports for music

REL

Plan to spend coin on good wiring and professional installation too.

Hope that helps.

That is quite the blank paper. If you want top of the line I would recommend the following companies: 1) JVC Pro D-ILA 3 chip projectors 2) Stewart Filmscreens Firehawk 3) Parasound Halo components 4) Phase Technologies Digital speakers 5) Bass Industries Executive seating 6) Soundrock noise control drywall 7) Universal Remotes MX-3000 control Beyond that, most things are simply stylistic additions.

With that kind of budget, skip this area and head to a very good high end store.. You have a million options! The best system is really hard to put down, it really comes down to your taste and preference in sound.

http://www.avsforum.com/ is a good place to start some research, many people will have the brands you might look at.

I also put some links on equipment I would buy for my tastes

Good luck you are going to have allot of fun and a incredible system!

Since you're not on a tight budget, what you need is two separate sound systems controlled by one remote. One sound system for watching movies & one sound system for listening to music.

Your audio retailer can tell you who is a good installer in your area. You probably don't want to try to do it yourself, because it involves running a clean electrical source to the sound system & running wires through your walls.

I will tell you this if you spend $50,000, you will probably become addicted & constantly be upgrading your system, so don't expect $50,000 to be the end of your investment. You would be the rare audiophile if you stayed satisfied with your initial set up.

WOW 50k

I would go Theil speakers, for my money they are the best I ever heard 12K - 15K

then I would go Pre-amp / Amp system Lexicon is up there, great stuff, I would go that way for my money 20 K here

a lot of people would go Krell, now you are looking at 30 K

that is 35K so far or 45 so far, add a CD - DVD- DVD-audio and a SACD all in one player

then you should up grade that TV to something bigger for the rest or the money

you could start to get crazy with this stuff

In my opinion your going to get the best system if you piece it together yourself and you will save yourself some money at the same time. I would start at Amazon.com as they have a huge selection of quality components to build yourself the Ultimate Home Theater System with.

Is that 50,000 in dollars or pesos?

And if you are talkng about dollars, how about taking $10,000 of that and buying a decent sized TV.....maybe a 60 inch plasma.

I'm pretty sure this question is a goof anyways, so I've alreadty wasted too much time on it.

I assume you mean 50,000 yen. If so, Durabrand makes a HTIB system that is screaming your name!
