I have a bell and howell projector model 248. It is in EXCELLENT condition and I'm trying to get an estimate of how much it would cost. I have the original box and manual. If you have any idea of the value or how to figure out the value myself I would much appreciate it. Thanks!! :)

I deal with film and projectors as a hobbyist (both 16mm and 8mm). For older projector models like a B&H 248, I'd say no more than $50. Not to discourage you, because I could be wrong, but most people go for newer models of Elmo, Eumig, and Chinon, as far as 8 & Super-8 goes. Older projectors tend to be made cheaper and are not as gentle on film.

If you would like to ask people who know more than I do, feel free to join the forum at: 16mmfilmtalk.com

There are expert collectors/hobbyists/enthusiasts there who could give you a better estimate of what you have then I could :)

It's friendly and free to join. I highly recommend it! (I'm a member myself)

the main problem with this projector is it is nearly impossible to find the slide cubes, they have not been made for ages. while they can work to project one slide at a time with manual loading, most people prefer to have their slides kept organized in a way that is easy to load. i used slide cubes back in the day, but now i scan my slides and keep them in the computer.
